ABC Club Season 1 Ends With A Bang!
Season 1 Graduation Party at Zócalo will commemorate a year-long journey from Boston bars, A through Z
BOSTON - April 10, 2009 - ABC Club is proud to celebrate their year-long trek through Boston establishments at Zócalo, the chosen "Z" bar. Held April 16, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Season 1 Graduation Party will not disappoint.
"We want everyone who has ever come to ABC Club to come help us celebrate, and of course bring friends!" exclaims Jessica Orndorff, co-founder and charter member, while sipping on her margarita at a recent planning meeting.
Zócalo, located at 1414 Commonwealth Avenue, is providing ABC-ers with a private space and chips and salsa, and will play host to the short but sweet "commencement festivities" scheduled for 8 p.m. Season 1 Graduation paraphernalia will be available, including a yearbook, official diploma and commemorative cups to take home and save forever. Season 1 t-shirts will also be available for pick-up for those who ordered.
"Season 1 has been more fun that we ever imagined and we've grown ten-fold," says Leslie Stachowiak, co-founder and president. "I'm excited for our Z celebration and even more excited for what Season 2 will bring!" she stated, while pondering the choice between tacos and enchiladas.

ABC Club NYC kicks-off Thursday, March 12 at Arctica Bar
BOSTON - March 10, 2009 - ABC Club Boston today proudly announced its first step in world domination with the launch of the first expansion chapter, ABC Club NYC. The kick off event will start at 7 p.m. and take place at Arctica Bar on Third Avenue between 27th and 28th Street.
The Big Apple Club will mirror its Boston counterpart, visiting bars throughout New York City in alphabetical order every other Thursday. Up for the challenge of launching and organizing ABC Club NYC are co-presidents Shion Ishikura, Jenn Marcotte and Beth Pfeil. Each lady brings a unique perspective to the group with experience ranging from marketing to event planning and business strategy.
"We're looking forward to the opportunity to bring this great concept to NYC," says Beth Pfeil, co-president of ABC Club NYC. "It will open doors to meet new people, network and visit bars throughout the city. Besides, who needs a better reason for an after work happy hour!"
ABC Club Boston members are encouraged to spread the word about the new expansion chapter, visit facebook to join the ABC Club NYC group and stay in the loop of their schedule.
In less than one year, ABC Club Boston ballooned from a word-of-mouth club with 25 members to a distribution of more than 250 and attendance rates of nearly 100. "We are so proud and excited to help launch the NYC Club and support them as they get the chapter going," says Jessica Orndorff, co-founder and charter member of ABC Club Boston. "Given the great response we've had in Boston, I know NYC will grow quickly and be a huge success!"

ABC Club Pushes Official Shirts
Members cry for an official, exclusive shirt and co-founders respond
BOSTON - March 9, 2009 - In reaction to the strong demand for a t-shirt denoting the many watering holes ABC Club Boston has visited, or perhaps, a reminder to those who had too much fun, the club today announced its official officialness with a "Season 1, A through Z" t-shirt. Orders can be made online or with any of the three co-founders for $15 each.
These exclusive "Season 1" t-shirts are available online through March 31 and members should note that additional orders for this exclusive shirt will not be taken. Offered in two options, Charcoal or Carolina blue, "Season 1" t-shirts will list each bar visited as well as a witty slogan. When worn, members will be identified as the most dedicated bar crawlers in all of Boston.
"I am ecstatic about these t-shirts," says ABC Club aficionado Rich Garfield. "I plan to not only wear it at the Z celebration, but look forward to the many years of wear it will receive at Bally Total Fitness." Another member, who wishes to remain anonymous comments, "I think I’ll purchase both colors, maybe one in a larger size so that I can sleep in it each night."
Whatever the motivation, members are encouraged to purchase "Season 1" t-shirts online by March 31. Delivery of t-shirts will take place at the Z Bar celebration, April 16. An alternate delivery date can be scheduled if members are unable to make it to the biggest party of the season. Please note that belly shirts will not be available.

Ready, Set, Vote! Y Bar Options Revealed as Members Prepare for a Voting Battle
Local banks running out of pennies as ABC members get ready for the penny war of the century
BOSTON - February 26, 2009 - In an unprecedented announcement of a bar, out of alphabetical order, ABC Club Boston today revealed Y Bar as “Your Choice” between seven sensational Boston area watering holes. The fate of the club’s Y Bar location is in the hands of the many loyal, tipsy and entertaining members.
"Your Choice" is a two-round voting process.
Round I: Beginning February 26th, members should visit www.abcclubboston.com to vote for their choice between the following local taverns: Bukowski’s (Inman Square), The Burren, Cornwall’s, Grand Canal, Harvard Garden, Hennessey’s, and Tia's. Online voting will take place through March 18.
Round II - The Finals: The two bars with the most online votes will go head-to-head in a penny war at X bar. Members onsite at X bar, March 19, will make the final decision by placing as many pennies as possible into the jar that represents the bar they like best. Y bar will be announced the following day.
"I’m so ready for this challenge," exclaims veteran member, Trevor Graham-Wilcox. "I plan to exchange my entire month’s check for pennies. People better be ready to rumble." His lovely wife, however, also has plans to mobilize the vote. "I’ve been emailing friends as far away as Thailand to threaten, I mean encourage, them to vote for my favorite bar," says Ashley Graham-Wilcox with a devious smile, "Trevor’s pennies can’t match up to my social networking skills." Their soon-to-be divorce lawyer has no comment at this time.
