Sitting in their "tri-cube" one lazy Tuesday, geniuses Leslie, Ashley and semi-conscious Jessica decided it was high time they found a reason to spend more time together (drunk). Always the optimist, Ashley said they should make a monthly commitment to going out after work. Always the planner, Leslie suggested they set the dates well in advance. Always the socialite, Jessica suggested a bar crawl. Combining their special powers and vast knowledge of the alphabet, the ABC Club Boston was born.
Join us in our mission to minimize social awkwardness by encouraging members to have fun and relax. We provide an opportunity to meet your future spouse, business associate, or figure-skating coach while visiting a bunch of bars in alphabetical order.
Leslie Stachowiak
Co-Founder and President
Athletically inclined and amiable,
Brandy lover and known to shake her booty, and always
Chatting up anyone and everyone.
Leslie helps to lead the ABC Club with an extensive background in public relations, marketing and hardcore partying. As Co-Founder and President, Leslie presides over presidential matters related to the club specifically in the areas of branding and communications. Leslie also works full time as a marketing and communications specialist for a hospital. Prior to that, Leslie worked in several PR agencies including Cramer – Krasselt and Cone, where she focused on consumer branding.
Leslie received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She resides in Somerville with her pet rock and three roommates. In her spare time Leslie also serves as the financial advisor for MIT’s chapter of Pi Beta Phi. Leslie's interests include squeaky cheese curds, pomegranates, cheap drinks, traveling and theme parties.
Leslie’s favorite Boston-area bar is Orleans because of its close proximity to her apartment.
Jessica Orndorff
Co-Founder and Charter Member
Always ready for a dance party,
Brookline resident, West Virginia native,
Craver of a good steak and a fine brew at anytime.
Jessica moved to Boston to attend the College of Communications at Boston University and is now using her pricey education to fundraise at a local hospital. Outside of planning fundraising events, she enjoys planning other awesome activities for her buddies—including such craziness as a Leap Day party, tennis tournaments, annual American Idol pool complete with commentary, etc. Jessica brings a strong commitment to keeping ABC Club fresh and filled with new members in her role as Charter Member.
Jessica dreams of a nationwide takeover for the Club, and hopes this includes a traveling budget for her to consult with other chapters. Until then, she’ll console herself by pursuing her favorite pursuits—finding the perfect stout, sleeping in on the weekends and searching for ways to become the new, hip Martha Stewart.
Jessica’s favorite bar in Boston is Cornwall’s because they have Fuller’s London Pride on tap (and she has many happy memories there).
Ashley Zolenski
Co-Founder and CEO
Ashley is my name,
Bar crawling in alphabetical order is my game,
Clearly I am not good at coming up with rhymes that aren’t lame.
As Co-Founder and CEO of the ABC Club, Ashley is responsible for business development, partner relationships and sponsorships. In addition to the ABC Club, Ashley works in the development/fundraising field focusing on sales, marketing and special events. Ashley has more than 20 years of alphabet experience, beginning in preschool when she first learned the ABCs. Later, she began to put the letters together to make complete words and sentences. She entered her first and final spelling bee in the fourth grade.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in mass communications from Westfield State College and her Master of Science in corporate public relations, cum laude, from Boston University. Her interests include: running, dogs, Burger King breakfasts, 80s music, and bubblegum.
Ashley’s favorite bar in Boston is The Sail Loft because it’s right on the water and there are free Oreos.
Carrie Kabat
Official Club Photographer
As official ABC Club Photographer, Carrie’s visual arts skills are of the utmost importance. Beginning with a photography class in high school, her mastery of the art now extends to skillful use of the "night mode" and "red-eye reduction" settings. In addition to composing fun-filled snapshots of family and friends, Carrie enjoys traveling, beach bumming, skiing, deep sea fishing, lying occasionally, interior decorating and exploring Boston.
Carrie’s favorite bar is Jacob Wirth because of the good food, great beer and lots of new faces at ABC!
Ashley Graham-Wilcox
Social Networking Guru
A marketing professional by day and a social networking groupie by night, Ashley G-W helps ABC Club erase the line between online and real world communities. When she's not blogging, commenting on your Facebook status or thinking in spurts of 140 characters or less, you can probably find her reading Entertainment Weekly, drinking a craft beer with her husband or dreaming about her next trip to Starbucks.
Ashley’s favorite bar in Boston is Cornwall’s in Kenmore Square, because it has Boston’s best bartenders.
Justin Chilton
Webmaster
Growing up in rural Maine, Justin Chilton enjoyed raking leaves, chasing deer and canoeing in Vacationland. Living in the big city, Justin has had to adapt and now spends hours tinkering in HTML and dreaming of web design. Justin enjoys teaching his young pup, Windsor new tricks, leading his WAKA kickball team to undefeated seasons and performing street dances in his spare time.
Justin’s favorite bar in Boston is Clink because of the rare elbow room in a Boston bar, and for the chance to spot a celebrity.
